Classic Shellâ„¢ is free software that improves your productivity, enhances the usability of Windows and empowers you to use the computer the way you like it.
It contains functionality that can change the appearance of the windows start menu, task bar and more to be in line with the much loved older styles and skins.

Development of this product stopped in 2017, though it still appears to work as of this posting, (September 2020) and other people have taken up the project as well.

But whether this shall remain is a mystery.
Since the software we have also come across Open-Shell which seems to be the follow on from Classic Shell. You can find it under the windows Enhancements category.
